About me

Founder. Seller. Coach.

In 2009, I started ARKK from my kitchen table with no sales training, no playbook, and no idea what I was doing. I had to figure it out. Cold calls, awkward demos, pricing I made up on the spot. I got it wrong more times than I got it right.

But I kept going. I learned how to read a room, how to recover from a terrible opening, how to get a prospect to call me back when everyone else was being ignored. My chairman used to say I had a “magic telephone.” What I actually had was a system I built through trial and error, deal by deal.

Over 12 years I grew ARKK to £10M ARR, built a team of 100 people, and sold the business in 2021. I sold into CFOs, COOs, fund administrators, and regulated firms who had every reason to say no.

Now I teach founders how to do the same thing. Not the theory. The real thing. The version of sales that works when you’re under pressure, your product isn’t perfect, and you need revenue to survive.

I’m a past President of Entrepreneurs’ Organisation UK. I work with a small number of founders at a time because that’s the only way this works properly.
