Leadership Coach and Non Executive Chairman

“Working with Richard has been an incredibly enriching experience that has profoundly impacted my professional growth”
Liandra Vianna, Projects and Operations Manager

What Is My Coaching style?

I coach like I led my business; in a calm, controlled, yet effective manner.  If you’ve seen me speak or worked with me, you will know that I am an introvert who has learned to act like an extrovert in order to further my personal development. It’s like going to the gym, I am living proof that it can be done.
This development saw me grow from someone who was painfully shy and low on confidence to become President of the Entrepreneurs Organization.

Who Is Coaching For?

I got my first coach when I started my first business at the age of 33.  Before that I had a corporate career, and boy could I have used a coach during that.
Coping with the demands of a career and the pressures of going for promotion, managing (both a team and upwards) isn’t something that should be done alone.

I have different coaching packages for up and coming starts of the future and more established executives.  Regardless of where you are in your career, an entrepreneurial mindset, or a curiosity towards it is something that my successful clients share.

My  Core Values

Throughout my career I’ve hired over 300 people and working with those who match my values is a non-negotiable for me. You might not be lucky enough to work with your dream team right now, but if you want to find your authentic voice, knowing your values is a great place to start. And here’s mine.

Authenticity
is one of the most underrated and attractive qualities to display in your career, business, and personal relationships.

There’s only one of you, so why try to be anyone else!

Winning Together
None of us are alone on this journey.  Be it colleagues, peers, family or friends, success tastes so much better when it shared.
Positivity

Sometimes we get confused with the misappropriation of the term imposter syndrome when what we need to do is create a Belief Plan.

Accountability

I’ll set you homework, and I expect you to do it!  I love working with people who do what they say they’re going to do.  If you do the work, then results are heading your way.

My Story

In 2009, I started ARKK from my kitchen table and grew it to over $10m in annual revenue, and a team of 100 people operating in multiple locations.

That’s where the boasting ends though, it’s not really my style, I now help other business owners and leaders wishing to do the same and beyond. I want to share all of the lessons learned in the 12 years starting and scaling ARKK, and save others’ $000s by not repeating my mistakes, and replicating the things that went well.

I do this by acting as Chairman and consiglieri to a handful of businesses, and by running online invite – only courses to entrepreneurs who align with my values.

And…I’ve also been active in the Entrepreneurs Organization and led the UK Chapter as President.

I now live in the beautiful Algarve countryside from where I teach others how to grow their businesses whilst keeping an empathetic leadership.
