I believe that supporting female leaders is incredibly powerful legacy. When I exited my SaaS business in 2021, it felt great to see my Number 2 step up into my CEO role.
Here’s Jenny’s story,
After many years in finance – culminating in five years as Finance Director at London Capital Group Limited – I had gone freelance.
Having become a mother in 2013, I soon realised that I wanted a better work-life balance. I had seen what was possible in that regard during my time in Australia with KPMG. I knew it was possible to be highly successful and effective, without everything else that comes with the “City” lifestyle.
I was one of ARKKs first clients in 2010 and ARKK became one of my first clients in my new life as a freelance finance director. When Richard showed me how their products had evolved and where they were going I wanted to be involved with the business.
ARKK has always prioritised flexibility for employees. Today, our workforce is 50% female (and our leadership team is 60%), because from day one the structures have been in place to allow women in a similar position to mine to stay with ARKK.
Our diversity and pro-equality stance is a huge strength, and something I am very proud of and something that ARKK takes very seriously.
I love the new challenges that being CEO has allowed me to take on.
